In 2008, after working as a Psychologist in hospitals, mental health, community health and government departments for 13 years, Rachael started her first private practice on the Gold Coast in Elanora with Dr Carol Leader at Saffron Street Surgery. Eight happy years were spent there: healing clients and learning new skills. Over time, Rachael's business became too busy for the space, so she started to look for just the right spot for her clients. Thus the therapy spot was born.
Run solely by a Psychologist, this practice is designed with the client in mind. We have big rooms and space to talk and do the important work of getting you well. One room is devoted to couple work, another to working with Mums and bubs where your baby or toddler can safely lie on the floor or crawl around the space giving Mum time to talk and unwind. Our third room is devoted to individual work with wide windows for contemplation and resources to help guide you to develop a life which is rich, full and meaningful. We have lots of lovely nooks in our office waiting room - a mindful coloring area set up with pencils, a refreshment area (with teas and refreshing drinks) as well as books and magazines to help you unwind.
Our goal is provide a safe, nurturing healing space that focuses on evidence based practice. The science of therapy is very important as we not only want you to feel better, we want you to learn the skills to be better using therapeutic practices that are backed by scientific research.

Whatever your needs may be, I am here to offer support. Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery. In my therapy sessions I promote behavioral transformation by encouraging a positive outlook and the adoption of new attitudes and feelings. Whether you’re going through anxiety and depression, a hard relationship, or trying to overcome an addiction - I have the tools and professional experience to help you get ahead.
